Escape into the splendor of the court of Louis XIV

Versailles and its castle, where everything recalls the excessive atmosphere of the splendour of the \"Great Century\": the gardens, the façades, the hunting lodge of King Louis XIII, the furnished flats of Louis XIV and Louis XV (recently restored), the Grand Canal, the \"Hameau\" of Marie Antoinette, the Petit and Grand Trianon, masterpieces of the luxury of the time.
Versailles is one of the most prestigious monuments of 17th century French art.

Suggestion: On the way back, visit also Rueil Malmaison where Josephine de Beauharnais, Napoleon\'s first wife, bought La Malmaison to make it a retreat from the Emperor\'s residences (Fontainebleau and Les Tuileries).
